The journal "Uchenye zapiski St. Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics" has been quarterly published by the St. Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics since 2000.

This edition publishes articles by scientists and specialists of the University, a number of Russian research and educational organizations, with which SPbUTUiE continues close and fruitful cooperation. In addition, the journal accepts articles by authors from other organizations for consideration if the materials correspond to its profile and meet the established requirements.

Previously, the journal was positioned as a discussion platform for scientists and specialists in the field of economics, management, law, education, psychology, security, regional studies and other social sciences. Today, having changed the focus of its activities on promising philological, psychological and pedagogical sciences, the journal " Uchenye zapiski St. Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics " invites specialists in these areas to publish.

The editorial board of the journal pays special attention to the possibility of increasing the creative activity of young scientists, applicants, graduate students and doctoral students of the University and other scientific institutions, and is always ready to help in the preparation and publication of the article. Abstract

The article is devoted to theoretical and practical aspects of the methodology for the formation of functional literacy in English lessons. To solve this problem, a review of such educational tools as pedagogical cues is proposed. The practical application of various cues for the formation of specific elements of functional literacy is described. The competencies that need to be improved by future teachers as part of their own training and self-education are given. The connection of functional literacy with the basic skills of future specialists of the 21st century is described. This study is aimed to discover the representation of the image of a woman in the phraseological fund of the English and Russian languages. Phraseological units and proverbs are the research material in both languages. All material is considered from the point of view of female appearance and female character representation. Both of these aspects are studied with positive and negative connotations. Abstract

The article focuses on the Internet-borne forces that through time caused changes in the contemporary English. Examples of specific, at the time most popular changes on the English-speaking branch of the Internet are given in the article. Examples that regard the changes in the vocabulary of contemporary English are analyzed in detail separately in the context of etymology, with authors making hypothetical assumptions on the potential future of such examples.

Abstract

The relevance of this study lies in appealing to the problem of developing one’s own microfield on the basis of the art history term feminist art. The article considers for the first time the specifics of the existence of feminist art in the terminology of art history. The purpose of this study is to determine the features of the functioning of feminist art in the art criticism terminological system. The basis of this study are the method of definitional analysis with elements of the semasiological method. In accordance with the put forward in the course of this study hypothesis, feminist art serves as the basis for the formation of a separate microfield within the art history terminological system. As a result, it was established that the term feminist art has a terminological potential — on the basis of this phrase, nomens are formed, as well as new components of the form of the concepts of art history terminology.
