The article deals with the main problems of transition of educational institutions to distance learning during the period of quarantine restrictions. A comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of distance education in comparison with fulltime education is carried out. Recommendations on the use of distance education for various categories of students have been developed.

Technical means of teaching are a set of technical devices with didactic support that are used by teachers in preparing lessons in a foreign language. Today, technical training tools play an important role in the process of teaching a foreign language, since now the main attention has been paid to the development of oral foreign speech. The use of modern technical means of teaching in foreign language lessons allows students to better learn the subject and develop communication skills. Thus, it can be noted that the use of technical means in the learning process is a relatively new stage of educational activity, which is just beginning its path of formation in the domestic pedagogy.

The article considers difficulties of spoken interpretation such as simultaneous performance of several mental tasks, analysis of the communicative situation and understanding the meaning of spontaneously generated speech, encoding the meaning by means of the recipient language. Teaching spoken interpretation copies the process of professional translation with an accent on each mental process separately. The main teaching stages include autonomous written preparation of a text on a given topic, training key vocabulary units, spontaneous interpretation of conversational speech from Russian into English and from English into Russian, translation analysis on the basis of the written script of English speech.

This study provides a theoretical framework illustrating the innovation in sports and physical education classes. Today era, innovative ideas and practices are used to improve the status of sports and physical education. With the advances in multimedia, network and other technologies to improve the teaching methods and tools. Reviewed literature explored that innovations implementation in sports and physical education programme showed that the varieties of best teaching practices. The article is dedicated to linguocognitive analysis of a part of the English language image of the world verbalizing the concept of neutral smell. In order to achieve this aim the author looks at direct and methaphorical meanings of some English nouns containing the seme «neutral smell». Linguocognitive analysis of phraseological meanings of the nouns verbalizing the abovementioned concept in the English language image of the world permits us to reveal certain national peculiarities of the concept in question in English culture.

The article is a publication of an archival document from papers of academician P. A. Lavrov in St. Petersburg Branch of the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences; this document is written in Montenegrin and consists of two texts of ethnographic character, one of which contains a description of the Montenegrin wedding customs, and the second is a traditional story about a historical figure - Bozhina Sarap, who was the founder of several Montenegrin families. The author of this archival document - Nikolo Vuchkovich - also belongs to the descendants of Sarap; this made it possible to attribute his personality with a high degree of probability
