Author Guidelines

  1. Contents
  • Author’s full name in Russian and in English.
  • The headline of the article in Russian and in English.
  • Summary (6–8 sentences).
  • List of key words (5–7 words and phrases separated by semicolon).
  • Bibliographic UDC identifier.
  • Information about the author(s): office address with zip code (or place of studies for post-graduate students), office phone number and e-mail, position, degree, academic rank and honors.
  • List of references.
  1. Text layout

2.1. The size should not be less than 0.4 and not more than 1 author’s sheet. (1 author’s sheet includes 40,000 typographical units with gaps).

2.2. The text should be MS Word format:

  • page size — А4;
  • boarders —2 cm;
  • type — Times New Roman;
  • size — 14;
  • line space — 1,5;
  • paragraph indention — 1 cm;
  • text alignment — edgewise;
  • page numbering — at the right bottom of the page.

2.3. Every table should have a heading. Ex.: Table 1 — Comparative analysis. There should be references for every table in the text. 

2.4. For formulae please use MathType. The formulae in the article should be continuously numbered with Arabic figures in parentheses at the far right of the line. The references for the ordinal number of the formulae should also be in parentheses.

3.1. List of references should be positioned at the very end of the article. The list should contain only those sources which are mentioned in the article. In the text the number of the source should be given in square brackets, the page number should be indicated using comas and dashes. Ex.: [4, p. 112], [5, p. 63, 67], [9, p. 45–47].

3.2. The page size should be given for every publication mentioned in the text. In case you refer to magazine, newspaper or digest you should indicate the page number(s) and the full number of pages in case of monograph, textbook or any other publication.

  1. Graphics

4.1. All the pictures, diagrams, tables and schedules should be positioned exactly in place they are being mentioned in the article with the number and the heading. Ex.: Pic. 1. The distribution of migration flow in developing countries. There should be references for every picture in the text. Ex.: (pic. 5).

4.2. It should be possible to redact Illustrations from MS Word и MS Exel inserted in the text (to change the type and size, colour, etc.) Illustrations copied from Internet as well as scanned should be placed in the text as well as sent separately in attached file using original format (jpg, tif, pdf, psd, indd, ai, cdr, etc.).

4.3. The size of illustrations shouldn’t be less than published in the article.

4.4. The recommended number of illustrations used in the article — not more than 3.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.

  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).

  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.
