The Problem of the English-Language Military Terminology Adaptation in the Translation of Cinematographic Works (the example of the series «Band of brothers»)
Abstract
The relevance of Article is due to the increased demand for high-quality translation of foreign films about war. The classification of the most common translation mistakes is considered in the Article. Examples of these mistakes in the translation of military terminology from English to Russian are analyzed. Data for study is the American series «Band of brothers». The Article focuses on the need for translator`s competence in the specific military translation sphere.
