Abstract
The article presents a comprehensive socio-psychological analysis of the hospitality. Based on a review of the literature, a definition of the phenomenon under considerationis proposed as a special situation of interpersonal communication that stabilizes the family by satisfying the basic needs of all family members in love, acceptance and self-expression. An empirical study on a sample of young people and married couples made it possible to examine in more detail the contribution of hospitality to the prosocial orientation of the individual and to the construction of the lifestyle of a young family
