

Verbalization of the concept of “virtue” in Russian and English proverbial image of the world

Abstract
The article looks at the identification of linguistic means that verbalize the concept of “virtue” in the English proverbial picture of the world. A corpus of 50 proverbial units thematically related to the concept of “virtue” is analyzed. The concept of “virtue” itself refers to the main layer of evaluative concepts verbalized in the English language image of the world and carrying cultural information.
