

Teaching a foreign language using critical thinking technologies

Abstract
The article is devoted to linguodidactics issues, namely to the issue of using the critical thinking technology in teaching a foreign language. This technology makes it possible to create an atmosphere of openness and cooperation in class, increases the speed and efficiency of information perception, evokes interest both in the material being studied and in the learning process itself, and enhances learners’ responsibility and independence while learning. The article describes methods and techniques to implement the critical thinking technology at foreign language lessons at a university.
