Статья посвящена изучению феномена межъязыковой паронимии, выявлению ее характерных черт как языкового явления и поиску их практических подтверждений. Анализируются семантический и этимологический аспекты межъязыковых паронимов на основе сопоставительного анализа лексем английского и немецкого языка. Обращается внимание на необходимость тщательного предпереводческого анализа при переводе паронимов.
The relevance of the article is due to the lack of knowledge of the essence of the phenomenon of interlingual paronymy, as well as the lack of precise formulations of its characteristics as a linguistic phenomenon and their practical evidence. The article analyzes the semantic and etymological aspects of interlingual paronyms based on a comparative analysis of the English and German lexemes. The article focuses on a cautious approach to paronymy as part of the translation process.
